Quest Overview: Closing the Book
Quest Type: Side Quest

Region: Hawezar

Recommended Level: 35+

Objective: Find and collect all 7 Ledger Pages

Reward: Gold, XP, and Renown; Lore entries in your journal

This quest sends you on a scavenger hunt to uncover the remnants of a lost alchemical or clerical experiment gone wrong, revealing the final thoughts of a tragic figure through their journal entries.

How to Start “Closing the Book”
To begin the quest:

Travel to Hawezar, one of the more swampy and corrupted zones in Diablo 4.

Head toward Backwater, a small town near the southern swamps.

Speak with Elder Akos, a concerned NPC who believes dangerous knowledge may have been left behind by a now-missing scholar.

Accept the buy Diablo 4 Items quest “Closing the Book,” and you’ll be tasked with retrieving 7 Ledger Pages.
